Stewarton Drama Group is a registered charity and is a member club of the Scottish Community Drama Association.
We have been going strong for 37 years now. Each season our aim is to continue the tradition that our founding members established of bringing quality amateur drama to our loyal local audience.
We have our own premises, affectionately referred to as 'The Premises' where all rehearsals are held and which itself boasts a small stage; ideal for club performances for members and patrons.
We have just completed a very busy season in our fantastic new theatre in the Stewarton Area Centre, which opened in September 2008 with our performance of our award winning play, 'One Good Beating' by Linda McLean.
We have kept up the momentum throughout 2009/10, performing one-act plays, a pantomime and full-length play.....'Allo, Allo' by David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd, which certainly ended our season on a high!
Now we look forward to building on our success in 2010/11! |
